Suat Beylur
Director

Suat Beylur holds a PhD degree in Sociology from Ankara Yildirim Beyazit University and an MA in International Relations from Hacettepe University. Prior to joining the Eurasian Research Institute of Khoja Akhmet Yassawi International Turkish-Kazakh University, Beylur has worked as an advisor in the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye (TBMM) (2006-2010); and expert, director and head of department for the Republic of Türkiye Ministry of Culture and Tourism (YTB). Beylur’s research interests lie primarily in the areas of multiculturalism, social change, youth and religion-state relations in Central Asia.

Zhengizkhan Zhanaltay is a deputy director in the Eurasian Research Institute at H.A.Yassawi Kazakh Turkish International University. Zhengizkhan completed his bachelor’s degree at international relations department of KIMEP University in 2010. He completed his master thesis named ‘Oralmans integration into Kazakhstani Society: Turkish Kazakh Case’ in International Relations department of KIMEP University in 2014. His research interests include international migration politics, labor and ethnic migrants social and economic integration into society and remittance.

Nadirova Gulnar Ermuratovna graduated from the Oriental Faculty of Leningrad State University, in 1990 she defended her thesis on the Algerian literature at the Moscow Institute of Oriental Studies, in 2006 doctoral thesis – on modern Tunisian literature at the Tashkent Institute of Oriental Studies, Professor.

Kanat Makhanov

Kanat Makhanov is a research fellow at the Eurasian Institute of the International H.A Yassawi Kazakh-Turkish University. He holds a BA in Business Economics from the KIMEP University from 2012. In 2014 he earned his Masters degree in Economics from the University of Vigo (Spain), completing his thesis on “Industrial Specialization in autonomous regions of Spain and Kazakhstan”. His main research interests are Spatial Economics, Economic Geography, Regional Economics, Human and Economic Geography.

Omirbek Hanayi

Omirbek Hanayi is a research fellow in the Eurasian Research Institute at H.A.Yassawi Kazakh Turkish International University. In 2009 graduated from Minzu University of China Faculty of Kazakh language and literature. In 2008-2009, he studied in Turcology Department of Justus Liebig Giessen University as an exchange student. In 2010, he entered the Turcology Department of Justus Liebig Giessen University in 2010. During 2010-2012 he work in the project named “Kasachisch im postsowjetischen Kasachstan”.

Dr. Albina Muratbekova is a research fellow at the Eurasian Research Institute of Akhmet Yassawi Kazakh Turkish International University. Albina holds a PhD degree in Oriental Studies from Al Farabi Kazakh National University. During her studies, Albina received fellowships from institutions in China, India, the USA, the UK, Germany, and Switzerland. She also has experience working in the international departments of local universities on the implementation of the internationalisation strategy. Her primary research interests cover Central, East, and South Asian affairs; intraregional and interregional cooperation of Central Asian states; China-India relations; and Central Asian politics.

PhD candidate, master of history, graduated from the Faculty of History (2005) and graduate school (2008), master’s degree (2013) Abai university, doctoral studies at the Institute of History and Ethnology named after Ch.Ch. Valikhanov at the al-Farabi university (2017). Completed a scientific internship at the University of Turin (Italy). In 2013 he defended his dissertation on the topic “Scientific and pedagogical activity of Sanzhar Asfendiarov (1928-1937).

Erkinbek Turgunov is a researcher at the Eurasian Research Institute at the International Kazakh-Turkish University named after Khoja Ahmed Yasawi. From 2005 to 2009, he studied at the at the South Kazakhstan Pedagogical University and from 2014 to 2016 he studied at the Kazakh National Pedagogical University named after Abay. In 2008 began working as a correspondent in the Republican magazine “Zhalyn.” He is currently working on a Ph.D. thesis on methodologies of teaching B. Maylin’s biography.

Nurlan Muminov

Nurlan Muminov is a research fellow at the Eurasian Research Institute. He earned his M.A. and Ph.D. in Political Science and International Relations from Istanbul University. Previously, Dr. Muminov served as the Head of the Department of Regional Studies at Kazakh Ablai Khan University of International Relations and World Languages. He has extensive teaching experience in international relations, political science, and regional studies at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. His academic interests include identity politics, security studies, memory politics, foreign policy and geopolitics.

Anuar Satmurzin is a junior research fellow at the Eurasian Research Institute of Akhmet Yassawi Kazakh Turkish International University. Anuar holds a Master’s degree in Political Science from Central European University (CEU), Vienna, Austria. During his studies at CEU Anuar has received the Outstanding Academic Achievement Award. His primary research interests encompass the role smaller states play in maintaining regional stability, regionalism and regionalization, multi-vector policy, hedging strategies, and post-Soviet hedging.

Aida Amangeldina is a junior research fellow at the Eurasian Research Institute of Akhmet Yassawi Kazakh Turkish International University. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Eurasian National University named after L.N. Gumilyov and a master’s degree in International Relations and Political Science from Nazarbayev University. Her main research interests include water resource management in the Caspian Sea and Kazakhstan’s energy sector. Aida has published articles on Carnegie Politika, Beda Media, and CABAR.asia.
